Brems writes about the environment, technology, and the human condition.

Brems is a PhD candidate in Political Science and a graduate of the MFA program in Creative Writing at the University of Notre Dame. She is an affiliate of the Environmental Humanities Initiative, a former Fellow with the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study (2023-2024), and a former Visiting Scholar with the Rachel Carson Center in Munich (2023-2024). Her creative work has been published in The Massachusetts Review, Flash Fiction Magazine, and elsewhere. Brems was born and raised in the Sonoran Desert.
